One of the blogs I have visited lately is written by
Presbyterian Gal. In her entries for the last week, she's written about the fight against a drug gang in her neighborhood. Because of it, she and her son are in danger.
I don't have the kind of courage she has. My heart was very heavy for her and her son during church this morning. Please take a moment to pray for them and their neighborhood.
My Sunday Inspiration post is below.

How terrible for that family. I can't imagine.
Have you ever read Snow in August by Pete Hamill? It's a fantastic novel, and the main character, an alter boy, is bullied and persecuted by a gang after befriending a rabbi. I thought of this book after reading your post.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
Dear Ruth,
Thank you for visiting my blog on a link from Jeannelle. I have already added the Presbyterian Gal and her son to my own prayers, and will also add them to our church prayer list, for safety.
Your schnoodle is beautiful. I haven't had a dog (just 3 cats) since my own dearly loved black and silver Schnauzer died several years ago, but I do understand how you feel about leaving him.
I'll be back to dig deeper into your archives.
God's Peace be with you.
See you soon
Oh my- I have been praying for them and will continue to do so.
God have mercy on us all.
