Surrender to Sabbath

I'm feeling that I really need a Sabbath, so I'm not going to read blogs today. I'll probably hit the "Mark all read" button on my reader.

If you've posted something that you'd really like me to read--for whatever reason--please feel free to email me or leave a comment. Otherwise, I'll be back to reading your blogs tomorrow.

In the meantime, here are some roses that were blooming in my garden Saturday. I hope you have a blessed Sunday.

CROCUS ROSE (a David Austin rose)

PRAIRIE SUNRISE (a Griffith Buck rose)

Everyone needs a break - have a wonderful rest, Ruth.

Love your roses - English and Bucks are some of my favorites. These colors are delicious.
XOXO

Sabbath was established for a reason...I am finding many 'long term' bloggers are using their weekends as a time off...a real necessity. Many bloggers, such as yourself, are 'giving' in their posts and being God's instrument (as Dad used to term in his sermons....) is 'taxing'. Take a well deserved day off Ruth. And now that I am back to visiting....I will be by again soon. Thanks for your ministering to my needs these past weeks...true friendship and being in tune with God's wisdom make you invaluable.

I started taking Friday and Saturdays off from blogging for the most part.

Your roses are beautiful and I hope you have a very peaceful and refreshing day. :)

Beautiful photos.

Why do I always feel guilty when I hit the "mark all as read" button?

I've actually gotten away from reader. I always feel bad when there are literally thousands of unread posts. Now I'm back to running down my blog roll again. It helps having the new most recent post widget. I probably miss a lot reading this way, but it fits my life better.

I usually take Friday and Saturday off from blogging. A Sabbath day is important. Your roses are beautiful. Have a great day.

If blogging starts feeling like "work" then I'll have to take a second look at it.
Nevertheless, I like Missy's idea. Might try that.

Your roses are so beautiful Ruth. I've been thinking of adding roses to my garden for making jam. I'm cheating right now and using rose water. Are they hard to grow?
