Staycation plans

As of yesterday, Michael and I started a week off from working / holiday duties / household chores. Actually, I haven't done any freelance work since last Tuesday, but I'm still pretty fried mentally. So this week is being given over to play. No catching up on chores. Play.

1. Computer games

2. A jigsaw puzzle

3. Movie watching (both light and serious)

4. Coloring

5. Light reading

What a great idea! I think you'll really enjoy the Stella Rimington book! She made quite a stink in the British intelligence service quite a few years ago. :)

Remind me, where did you get the Mandala coloring book?

Sounds like you have some great plans for this stay-cation!

We watched "Karol, the Making of a Pope" last night. It was 3 hours long so we intended to break it in to 3 segments, but once we began, we couldn't stop! WOW! I highly recommend it. Although it definitely isn't light fare. But very inspiring. They don't try to cover his whole life - it begins when the Nazis are invading Poland and ends just as he becomes Pope, so they have time to develop it well.

Ruth, have you ever read any Ted Dekker? I just wondered if you had, what you thought of him.

Have a fun staycation! (love that word)

Good for you Ruth! I am jealous, as I have taken on too much work and am stretched to my absolute limit. I'm going to see if I can manage to hand on by my fingernails until the end of the month and then follow your very wise lead.

Sounds like super fun! I love jigsaw puzzles but with 4 cats, I fear it would be a useless thing! LOL. I feel like I've been in that mode for a week or so following our illness. We have concentrated on enjoying ourselves lately. Today was the first day back to a normal schedule of work. But then, I'm taking off new years! LOL. Enjoy Ruth, you sure deserve it.

I'm so glad to see you that you are relaxing Ruth! You work so very hard and hold yourself up to such high standards when it comes to your work. I'm happy that you're going to come down and get some R&R! No one deserves it more!!

XOXOXOX

Is that a new Davidson book there? I need to go pick that up! I love her--mostly because I live in the Denver area and know all the places she references in her book.

A "staycation"! What a great idea! I'm reading a really good book right now FADE AWAY, by Harlan Coban. I can't put it down!
I'm going to mention the 'staycation' to my husband although I don't think he could manage it. He works out of our home...

Sounds like fun! You've been working hard, and it's a well deserved break.

Oh I may just have to pop across the Atlantic and have a go at that jigsaw - I can't resist them. I don't do them at home as I neglect everything and stay up till silly o'clock to get them finished!

Have a nice break.

Mrs. Agitator got me Tiger Woods 2009 as a surprise this year, and I am totally addicted to it. Now I see why my sons are so hooked on the XBox.

Have a terrific 2009.
