I finished my Outdoor Sketching class yesterday. This was the piece I did in class. It took about 90 minutes. I'm quite pleased with it, and I plan to submit it to the student art show.
I also want to submit one other piece, either the peony or hosta from my last post. I have different reasons for liking each, so I'm really torn. If you would care to offer your feedback, I'd really appreciate it. No need to analyze the pieces. Just tell me which you prefer on a gut level. (If you do have more analytical comments, I'd welcome them. I just don't want anyone to feel that they have to do that.)
Thanks a million!

I like them all but my gut says, peony.
My artist husband and I both say Peony.
Love this latest one. Am going back to look at the others.
Ruth, I, too, really like them all. For me, it was between the delphinium and the peony. I think I'd go with the peony. Let us know how the show goes.
Hosta.
I like the hosta too. It contrasts nicely with this one.
peony
Another vote for hostas. :)
Hosta. I love your art!!
peony.
love 'em both, but heart says peony.
Nice! I like the Hosta
I love them all but I vote peony
My vote is for the peony - I like that it shows nearly the whole plant, including the ground where it's coming from.
Love the potted plant sketch. Good work, girlie. :)
XOXO
This one is really nice. As for a second one, I love the top drawing with the little red flowers. Is it a peony? It's so fresh I could pick it for a bouquet. Glad to see you're back!
Hosta for contrast. Otherwise the peony. I'd be concerned that the peony and this one would be slugging it out.
My vote is for the hosta, but my favorite one is the Magic Fountain delphinium. That's not to say that I don't like them all, because I do!
